Nancy, Sue, and Nancy
Sue and Nancy Eynon Lark have lived in the Washington DC area since the 1970s. Nancy worked in education and Sue was a pediatric hospice nurse. In the past 10 years, Nancy has been managing our rental properties and working in theater. Sue morphed into a data analyst and software designer.
Nancy von Wahlde joined us in 2017. After a long career in teaching, she has developed an expertise in natural habitats and is responsible for the increased wildlife at RowanLark.
Sue's mother owned a B&B back in the days when most people hadn't heard of them yet. Nancy traveled and stayed in a lot of hotels and B&Bs. We've been landlords for over 25 years. It's given us a different perspective on housing.
We love old houses and want to do our part to preserve historic properties in Montgomery County while providing interesting accommodations for others to enjoy with us.
At our last home in Silver Spring, we were Airbnb 5-star super-hosts. We enjoyed the experience of hosting guests from around the country and the world. Young international travelers and grandparents, like us, stayed with us, sometimes bringing the family dog, to see the sites or visit their kids.
Our "new" home, RowanLark at Headwaters Farm in Olney, is on the remains of a historic farm. We enjoy sharing it with people who want to enjoy unusual and spacious accommodations in a private home with resident hosts and our resident pups, Scout, Harper, and Carly.
